COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Kyle Dodson, a former Cleveland Heights football star who is a freshman offensive lineman at Ohio State, left the team's practice in an ambulance Tuesday afternoon. A school spokesman Tuesday night said that Dodson would be kept overnight at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center but that he was expected to be fine.

"He was ill earlier today and had a bout of dehydration during practice," OSU spokesman Jerry Emig said in an email, "but he is now stable and doing well."

Awesome news! I was beginning to worry because I hadn't heard anything from him so far in camp or much in the spring. Itd be awesome if he could earn a spot as a starter.

I wonder if his positive progress will affect our recruiting of chad Mavety since it seems like he's being recruited to be our starter at LT next year. It's a good problem, but possibly a position battle if we can land Mavety.

Hope he is mature enough to handle the step up in responsibility. They say a huge part of sports is mental and KD seems like a poster child for that statement. He has the physical tools. Does he have the mental part? Guys in the trenches battle through more adversity than any position group and it takes a tough nut to come through the grind on top. Will be interesting to see what Kyle is truly made of. Huge opportunity for him this year. Let's hope he makes the most of it.

Perfect life opportunity in front of Kyle. Feet are in the fire and the microscope is on him. Rise to the occasion young man. Rise up.

I, personally, see Decker moving to the left side and Kyle taking over the right. I would love for Kyle to just explode onto the scene but Taylor's experience is probably going to give him the edge to start out on the left and make room on the right to protect Braxton's blind side.
