Holy mackerel! I'm glad that Urban netted you. Some posters will place you on a perch just for being a Buckeye, saying that your commitment jacks up this class to a larger scale, while fans of other teams might be trolling with comments that show them to be bottom feeders.

Some might get hooked and take the bait, and clown around with your name, trying to have a whale of a time like sharks in the water. But we know that Urban didn't take a flyer on you, that you will be a man-of-war for the Buckeyes. If you're able to handle the middle of the line, you could even be a snapper!

We won't hear Joe S(c)had talk about you, but that's because the slippery eels at ESPN would rather flounder around and poke barbs, trying to torpedo Ohio State with red herrings rather than admit any rays of sunshine that might drum up support for the program.

OK, some of those smelt, I did pack them in like sardines, but nothing should char the moment of excitement of Urban reeling in this commitment.

LANCASTER ? For the fourth time since 2000, a Lancaster High School football player plans to play for Ohio State.

On Sunday, junior offensive lineman Kyle Trout verbally committed to play for the Buckeyes, his father, Kevin Trout, confirmed. The 6-foot-6, 290-pound lineman had offers from 10 different colleges, including BCS schools West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Illinois, Michigan State and Indiana. Trout was offered by Ohio State offensive line coach Ed Warinner.

Trout is rated as a four-star prospect by the scouting website Rivals.com, and was a first-team, All-Central District selection this past season with the Golden Gales.

Ohio State only signed two offensive linemen in the most recent class this past week.

Trout didn?t start his sophomore season, but saw his stock rise after participating in camps for several universities, including Ohio State, before his junior season.

?If you?re Kyle Trout, you?re 6-foot-6, 260 pounds and you run like a wide receiver ? which he does ? a lot of coaches are like, ?We see what we want. We can mold him like a piece of clay,?? Lancaster coach Rob Carpenter said before the 2012 season.

All I sea are bass-ically awful puns. I've haddoc enough of this. This will be our nemo-sis. I trout very much anyone likes it. Maybe it's time we fin-ished it? No one needs to fish for compliments. These sick jokes are quite shellfish really. This thread is at cross porpoises with our high BP standards. Everyone knows that you cannot mix bait and tackle. Question for Rapture: What height is most accurate for Kyle right now and what was the doctor's guess for how tall he could end up being? Seems like he is in the 6'5-6'6 range...if he grew another inch or two I really think he has the tools to be a LT here (depending on how else winds up in the class).

Kyle is a little over 6'6 (same height as Jack Mewhort, they stood side by side) and weighs 294 right now. He was told they consider him a left tackle and enrolling early probably had him on the two deep right away. They said he is raw and needs some work on technique but that they really don't see 300lb kids who can move and change directions like he can.
Doc says he can grow more but how much is open to debate. He wears a size 18 shoe...

He also asked what he can do to help make this the best class in the nation and will try to help anyway he can. He is already making friends with some other great kids.
