He actually has three years to play two since he only played two years of JUCO.

Hard to imagine he won't redshirt

Well crap, that hurts. Even if he recovers quickly and is not injured mid-season, it would be highly unlikely that he gets in game ready shape this year. My guess is a redshirt. Get well soon Malcom!

It may depend more on who else gets hurt. Who would be more ready, Malcolm or Lisle?

I am just saying I don't think he'll even be ready until end of the year/bowl season and even then, sort of doubtful he can get back in shape by then. Conditioning was already a reported issue and this will make it much harder.

And it looks like the 6-8, 324-pound man could be ready for a playoff run. Pridgeon appeared in all pads after practice, and thanked the training staff for "getting him back to healthy" after his injury.

If game-ready, Pridgeon could provide a massive solution as the coaching staff looks to shore up its pass defense before playing Clemson on Dec. 31.

If he improves our OL, then you put him in. Whatever helps get us a title, do it. The staff will be the judge of that and I would tend to think it would be tough to get game-ready coming off his injury, but I have no idea how far he's progressed .

Practice Prince and Malcom with the first team. Competition for Prince could provide some motivation. We rotate people at almost every other position. I know continuity on line is important ..but still. The NFL shuffles lines every week due to injury ..

Just food for thought, one of the topics about the recruiting class is the risk of only taking 2 OL.

If Pridgeon red shirts then you are really taking 3 (and already know what you have in one of the 3). Takes a lot of the risk off the table.

So keeping his RS in tact may allow room for an extra 5 star that wants in the '17 class.
