OL Nicholas Petit-Frere (1st Team All American, Tennessee Titans)

This article was from August but I don’t think it’s been posted yet. It’s an SEC centered piece but am posting it because it gives a good glimpse into the kind of kid he is, etc.

In light of the ME, ME, ME attitude witnessed by a few recruits in this cycle I find kids like this very refreshing. He’s a high academic kid with his head on straight.

Oh and his measurables are great and film is legit. Great feet, tenacious, etc.

I hesitate to say “can’t miss prospect” especially with OL guys but he’s close. That’s why he was always a much better prospect to me than JC.

Just curious your basis for 'no chance' ?

"Petit-Frere camped at Ohio State last summer and returned to OSU this summer. He continues to have an interest in the Buckeyes.

“Oh yes,” Berkeley Prep coach Dominick Ciao said. “He’s very interested in Ohio State. Ohio State has been high on his list for a while.”

It hasn't been much of a secret but he likely is not leaving the south. If he does, it will likely be to ND. Maybe the need for a tackle shoots us up the list and I am hoping it does, but we would need to cover a ton of ground to catch up here.

Hmmm. Agree on ND being a threat but haven’t had the sense he was stuck on staying south. Kid has kept things very close to his vest.

ND picked up their 3rd OT in the class on 12-27-17 when Luke Jones flipped from Arky. ND has selling points including academics but that helps from the depth chart side and class size.

He did check out TTUN at bowl practice though.

FLA is what the CBs say but I just have a hard time seeing that based on any hard evidents. Mullen is starting from scratch relationship wise.

This kid had kept things super close to the vest and I just don’t feel like he even has a leader at this point.

If that’s true, and Urban gets an official, then I like our chances. And the Schiano-Berkeley Prep connection has to help.
