OT Paris Johnson Jr. (All-American, Arizona Cardinals)

Right?

All seriousness though, these kind of highlight video's, especially of linemen, don't really impress me (unless #99 is a somebody?)

So a kid blessed with NFL level physical tools as a HS senior can dominate a normal sized high school human.

I just don't get the excitement over that.

last year against Colerain he looked good. not nearly this dominate. plays Colerain again in 3 weeks.
Colerain is how I evaluated Carmen. more to the point how Colerain’s smaller edge rushers fed Carmen his lunch.
Last year it was an even match against Colerain’d DE who signed with UC. Philips won some plays in the run game. Johnson won most of the pass pro downs.

Savage. I know those guys are mitch smaller than Paris, but he has all the physical tools to be elite. What I wanted to see was nastiness. Check that box, he's nasty. And aside from that, look at his feet move and the fluid movement, that's incredible for a guy his size. Not stating anything we don't already know, but we've got an enormous talent here.

He looks to me like he'll need a year to get acclimated just like NPF did
Agreed. VERY few OL are ready from day 1 after playing against guys 50-100lbs lighter than themselves. I'm sure he can be great in due time, but I'd like to see him handle a Tyreke Smith, Zach Harrison, JJB, etc who already have real game experience and bodies of college football players before I'm ready to anoint him a day 1 starter

Agreed. Which is why the trajectory of Harry Miller is so impressive.

If you are going to ask me to predict the top O Lineman of the Day and Myer era I may have to guess at Miller. But I could guess Josh Meyer too. Or NPF. Or Parris.

The idea that several O Lineman with that potential working together is unreal.

I’m just talking potential at this point but still..... Can’t help but feel like we are experiencing something special brewing on the O Line.

Fingers crossed.

Parris was such a MASSIVE, MASSIVE get for a young coach in Day.

I’ve said this before......when Day stepped in and locked up Zach, Parris and Jack I was like.......woah. This dude is legit.
