The countdown thread is nearing its end; I'm looking to ensure that I don't miss anything important.

Does anyone know if Thayer ever played on a special unit (punt, punt coverage, etc) that would've allowed him to wear the Block O jersey on the field? If he ever wore it in-game and there happens to be a picture of it anywhere, the countdown thread would be incomplete without it. I have spent more time than I should have searching the internet and I've found nothing, but I think there's a good enough chance that the picture exists and I missed it to at least be worth asking if one of you can prove that your internet search skills are better than those of some boomer whose internet usage is limited to football and paying bills.

Fairly confident it was a symbolic gesture....I don't think he ever actually wore the "O".....Maybe I'm wrong.....
