OL Tommy Brown (transfer to Akron)

For some reason, however unfounded it may be, the name "Tommy Brown" just sounds like a fearsome Defensive Tackle's name. Look at that goatee, it further affirms my "speculation".
C'mon, tommy, work hard and you'll sure find a place you would soon to call "home" here at THE Ohio State University.

Agree. I love how he wants to earn it at camp too. We pretty much have our future at DE sewn up, not let's work the middle. Tomym Brown looks like a great start. Kris Harley, Kevin McReynolds (getting lots of early pub, how interested is he in us though?), Kevin Williams (DT from Ohio, already has a Nebraska offer... isgn me up), among others I am sure. I have not heard a ton of names yet, but we NEED some DT's with Larimore/Heyward gone next year, and missing on Floyd this year.

Can't wait to see how Tommy performs durin summer camps.

Can't agree anymore. Tons of big, athletic guys out there next year with interest in OSU. A big need in '11 will be interior linemen, on offense and defense, so I like the versatility with Brown. I'm anxious to see film but he sure looks the part.

Rivals $ - Brown collects offers
Steve Hare of OhioVarsity.com, March 9, 2010

Bollman has been recruiting Brown since he was a soph & Brown calls him every week... He's getting attention from other BCS programs as well: Nebraska, Notre Dame, Cincy, UNC, 'Cuse... Admits that most schools are waiting for a better ACT score before getting serious... Wants to stay close to home so his leaders are OSU, Cincy, & Michigan State...

Tommy Brown - Firestone (Akron, Ohio) OL
Maybe the top lineman to attend the combine, Brown is a solid looking prospect and posted some very impressive numbers that prove that he has the strength to hold off defenders with a 41-5 foot power ball throw for a 81.78 SPARQ Rating. With a solid frame at 6-foot-4, 332 pounds, Brown showed he is on his way to becoming a solid recruit and has been offered by Akron and is gaining heavy interest from some programs in the Big 10 including as well as Nebraska.
