on humans and nature - the evolution one

This is why I love when religious folks, or rather, some religious folks, use the term "missing link." I am the missing link. Every single person is the missing link. It isn't missing, it is gradual. One has to have zero understanding of biology to even ask where the "missing link" is.
Those people wouldn't be satisfied if we had complete skeletons of each and every single "step" in the line from the first tetrapod to modern human.

Stephen Jay Gould disagrees.

(Strongly. But its Gould, he doesn't disagree in other ways, so don't take it personally)

Even in his version of. . . Okay I forget the term, punctuated evolution? (Yeah that's not it, my brain is failing me here). Whatever. It is still gradual in terms of "links."

Punctuated Equilibrium. In terms of links, sorta kinda. But certainly not in terms of each person being representative of one [missing or otherwise] link... the point being that a species remains in stasis... until its.. not, in which case the change is relatively rapid.

(None of which is to say that Gould is right and you're wrong, I'm just saying that there's thinking that isn't all gradual)

I'm just happy I posted from my phone and got close to the right term.

I do know the theory, of course, and there is of course possibility to it. Still, there would not be a "missing link" fossil to be found. Every step, no matter the evolution, is that link. Whether quick or slow, it is that simple. There is never "one link" unless someone completely misunderstands the process entirely.

Its never missing after you find it.

Of course.
