Oregon Ducks (aka U of Nike)

Baldwin's Thursday update after his comments from Monday were not well received in the media:

"You're losing a great player no question but if it ends up being something that's a great opportunity for him, I'm all for it," Baldwin added. "... (The) comments on Monday, some of that too was almost -- when it's read out in print looks different than when you're almost doing it in some respects halfway fun and halfway emotional from the initial decision. But I know he's going to a great program and there's no doubt about that."
...
"If he goes and kills it next year because everything comes together and he's able to get there in a timely fashion," Baldwin said, "... if he goes and does all that, I'm the happiest guy for him. That's awesome."

QB Vernon Adams eligible at Oregon, nearly ready to take aim at replacing Mariota

The next step for Adams will be enrollment. PerThe Oregonian, Adams has been admitted and is eligible to enroll, but has not done the later just yet. Enrolling at this stage may now just be a matter of procedure, because Oregon ruling Adams eligible to enroll is still a positive sign Adams will indeed be joining the Ducks for the fall.
