Orlas King "Neutron Man" passed away today

Bucktastic

Troy Smith for HEISMAN
from an email I just got.......

"It is with deep regret that I inform you that Orlas King, also known as "The Neutron Man", passed away this morning. I do not know any details as yet. Orlas was a dear friend of our family and I was fortunate enough to share my first Ohio State football game with him. If you knew him or if he ever brought a smile to your face while doing his famous Neutron Dance, please take a moment for his family, and to thank him for being a wonderful man."

I met him during a golf tournament at New Albany many years ago. I think he smiled and laughed the whole round. This is truly sad....my heart goes out to his family.

I was at Indiana Nov 16th, 1996, and when My wife and I ran onto the field in celebration of OSU clinching the Rose Bowl bid with that win, I bumped into a great fan who happened to be crying because he was so happy. It was
Neutron Man. He hugged my wife and was so happy he missed my attempts at a high five. haha Truely a great fan ... He will be missed. What a great way to go though, known as one of the funnest and finest Buckeye fans out there.

I remember seeing him on the field when I rushed it after the 1998 Michigan Game. He was high fiving and hugging everyone he could get a hold of. You could tell he was as happy as anyone could ever get. I'll never forget that look of complete bliss on his face.

RIP Orlas King.

He was far more than "that guy" who danced in the stands at OSU. He was a tremendous asset to the community and to the University.

He did his thing this year at the Cinci game...and im sure at the others. I made sure to point him out to any of my friends who were experiencing buckeye games for the first time, along with the band entrance/script ohio...he was a tradition.

Damn. I never met him and I don't know him, but I've seen him at every game I've been to in the 'Shoe from college until now. He's a part of the Saturday game experience at OSU. He was a perfect example of our passionate Buckeye spirit.

A great fan, and I'm sure a good man.

"While our hearts rebounding thrill, with joy which death alone can still."

He was a greta man...always there to uplift people, from what I recall, he used to do appearacnes for schools and charities and that sort of thing...

It won't be the same without him to look up to in the 3rd quarter
