Kyle Reed Scores Hat Trick as No. 15 Buckeyes Down No. 7/9 RedHawks, 6-2

OXFORD, Ohio ? Sophomore Kyle Reed?s first career hat trick and four-point game led the No. 15 Ohio State men?s hockey team to a 6-2 victory over No. 7/9 Miami Friday night in Steve Cady Arena in Oxford, Ohio. After Miami tied the game at 2-all at 13:09 of the second, Sergio Somma responded just 14 seconds later to put Ohio State back on top, the first of four unanswered goals for the Buckeyes.

The win moves Ohio State one point behind idle fourth-place Alaska in the CCHA standings. The Buckeyes need at least one point against the RedHawks Saturday to earn the No. 4 seed in the CCHA tournament. Ohio State and Miami will face off at 7:05 p.m. in Value City Arena in Columbus. Ohio State?s three-member senior class will be honored in a ceremony pregame.

Ohio State is 20-11-4 overall and 13-10-4-3 in CCHA play. The RedHawks fall to 18-10-5 and 16-4-2 in league action.

Went to the game. Lots of fun. The Redhawk fans are gay with their stupid little chants. We kicked their ass.

I led a bunch of OH - IO chants in the second period.

Steve Rehring was there. Had a chance to thank him for lots of fun Saturdays. Seemed like a good kid. Man he is HUGE.

They have no chants. They've stolen a bunch of chants from real hockey schools like the school up north or do jump around from Wiscy and pat themselves on the back for being so clever.

If they were really honest, they'd stand up in unison and chant, "god we wish we were a Big Ten school...only then would we be cool."

By the way, where oh where is our passive aggressive Fredoite. You know, the guy who only shows up when he has a glimmer of being superior as tries to be friendly while oh so subtly reminding us of how "good" their hockey program is.

Listen to this. After I did the OH-IO thang after we went up 3-2, some pussy assed dipshit actually did the Gator Chop to try and get my goat.

Needless to say, I thought it was funny as hell. It's weak when your best come back is based off another schools sucess. Fuckin wanna-be.

My God, that's weak. Gator chomp :shake:

So Cryami (OH), what did YOUR team do?

Does anyone have any advice on parking for a hockey game? I will be taking my wife and 2 children (11 and 8)
