I don't know if many of you are hockey fans, but if you are then I suggest taking some time to support your hockey team. I know you that hockey isn't exactly the biggest thing on campus at OSU but your team is playing very good hockey right now.

The Buckeyes are ranked No. 14 right now in the national polls and tied with Michigan for first place in the CCHA with a record or 5-1-0.

The problem is no TV time for the OSU hockeye team.
It would be a fine replacement for the NHL I miss so dearly but I live too far away to go to many games and they are never on TV.
Is scUM hockeye televised in Michigan?

Bret,

You are correct. The Buckeyes are very well this year.

They have two freshman (Maiani and Fritsche) on their first line that can just flat out play. They cycle the puck as well as any two freshman that I have seen in a long, long time. The first two lines will be an offensive juggernaut.

If we can continue to recruit as we have in the past few years, we have a chance to be good year in and year out. For those of us that enjoy hockey, it should be a lot of fun.

I wish we could get a few more people in the building for games, but those who do go are generally pretty loud.

Ashlandbuck, if you can't make it to the Schott, I know that quite a few games are going to be streamed over the internet for your viewing pleasure. I think you can go here: http://www.collegesports.com/sports/m-hockey/cs-m-hockey-body.html
to find out more.

I look forward to seeing your team this year

I'll be in Columbus covering the game for GBW when Michigan comes to town, so I'll be sure to keep an eye open for those freshman.

Chad Kolarik for Michigan has been very impressive so far for us. He's one of the team leaders in scoring with three goals already.

Unfortunatly for us our defense has been rather shaky and has left Al Montoya in a lot of bad situations so his GAA isn't very great right now. Is Dave Caruso still in the net for you guys?

Dave Caruso is minding the net and had another shutout tonight against Northern Michigan. As young as this team is, the future looks very bright for OSU hockey.

They played another very good game tonight with Maiani getting a goal and Fritsche an assist.

If anyone on this board is at all a hockey fan, do yourself a favor and go see these guys play. They give it their all and if you like offense - unlike another team we know - this guys can light up the scoreboard.

I did see the scores of your sweep over Northern Michigan and was very impressed. It looks like we may be on a collision course right now with the only games coming in Columbus this year.

I saw you guys climbed to No. 7 in the latest polls. We had last weekend off but beat Michigan State in East Lansing tonight.

The Boston College loss to Harvard means that Michigan will climb back into the No. 1 spot in the polls if we can beat Michigan State again Saturday, this time in Ann Arbor. I'll actually driving as fast as I can to get to the end of the game AFTER being at the game in Columbus saturday afternoon.

I'm looking forward to getting to Columbus for our series this year and hopefully I'll be back for the Frozen Four.

I went one of the Northern Michigan games this past week. I am not a Hockey buff but NM seemed to be a pretty physical team. Ohio States stayed focused and it turned out well because all of a sudden they were racking up goals left and right. The end score was 5-1. I have never been to a hockey game nor am I an expert on the game, but it turned out to be pretty fun to watch.
GO BUCKEYES!!!
