OSU on ESPN Classic Now

The 02 OSU v. SCUM game is on ESPN Classic. I could watch this game at any time all of the frustration was lifted after the debacles in the mid 90's. They say it is a tribute to OSU football so another game could be on after this.<O:p</O:p

It was the '97 Rose Bowl, the 2002 scUM game and the 2003 Fiesta vs scUM south.

On a side note as it relates to 2004:

I've watched the 2002 scUM game probably a dozen times and if anyone needs insight into the topic of our running games woes just go pop it in and watch.

In the exact same game, versus the same defenders using the same blockers to run the same plays called by the same coaches you get a side by side comparison of MoC and Lydell Ross. The disparity is alarming.

OSU message boards have been one constant argument for the last 2+ years it seems over "whats wrong with the running game...is it the OL, FB's, play calling..." yadda, yadda, yadda.

Watch that game again and its pretty clear, the problem is in the talent level at RB.

Jax, agreed. Once you watch how many defenders he jukes and shakes off the backfield, it's evident that it's not the scheme or line, it's the back. That stiff arm is as good a stiff arm as I've seen in the 15 years i've been watching football, college or pro. Throw in his lateral ability to make them miss, and we were indeed watching a legend. too bad..
