OSU regular season schedule

Georgia

Being in Georgia I'd love to see the Bulldogs in the Shoe but they would never do it- they have not played a game outside of the southeast since 1967- 37 years. They say the SEC is so tough and they play Georgia Tech each year that they don't need to play away from the southeast- this year they play a Division II school on their schedule. In the eighties they had a home and home with UCLA. They played the Bruins in Athens and then backed out of the trip to Los Angeles saying that they wanted to help in the effort to conserve fuel- no kidding that was their excuse.

Florida State. 0-3. That just can't stand.
-drop off-
Nebraska. Why this hasn't happened yet makes no sense to me.
-drop off-
USC
Oklahoma
-drop off-
Notre Dame. Spankage, just not the way they like it.
Miami. Is this still on the horizon?
Tennessee
Oregon
-drop off-
Florida
Georgia
Alabama
Auburn
LSU
VaTech. Is this still on the horizon?
-drop off-
Virgina
Maryland
Texas A&M

What big name D-1 teams would you like to see on the OSU schedule in the next five years?

Here are my top five...

USC
Florida State
Oklahoma
LSU
Georgia

We're already playing USC in a home/away series in the next five years (2008/2009).

Out of the major programs not already on our future schedules, I'd like us play Nebraska, Florida, Oklahoma, Alabama, or Florida State (we already have Miami FL on our schedule in 2010/2011).

I like those choices...and I'd also like to play Tennessee because they're so frigging cocky and think they have the best stadium, Texas A&M because they have some tradition and everyone thinks it's so freaking hard to win in College Station, and Nebraska is also a no-brainer. I think Oregon State would also be an intriguing matchup, considering how overrated it seems they are every year.

It's payback time.

The original gist was "big-name" programs (of which South Carolina and Air Force aren't), but if we're also talking "payback", then we need to include Standford...the Big Tree is the only Pac Ten school other than USC against whom we have a losing record (2-3 all time), and they cost us the 1970 national title.
