OSU vs. Georgia Tech series

Bucks lose game 1, 12-4. Dezse was 3-4 with 3 solo HR's.

Too bad that the 3 guys hitting in front of Josh are a combined 6 for 43 this season. Our leadoff man is down to 0.63 after today.

Good move by Beals to bring in Guey to fall on the sword...it was obvious we weren't going to do much with Farmer. At least now we will have the entire pen at our disposal for the last two games.

We got another clean relief appearance by Trace Dempsey...1.1 IP/0 H/0 BB/1K/ 10 Pitches

Buckeye batters continue to swing away..OSU has 37 hits thus far and 41 K's

Tomorrow is a new day...:gobucks3::gobucks4:

9 BB and 3 errors! Thank you Jackets!

Great win! I kept thinking that hitting into 3 double plays with the bases loaded was going to come back to haunt us, but solid pitching pulled us through all those missed opportunities..
we should have buried GT early on.

King and Long were huge today, and their efforts today gives us a punchers chance to win game 3.

:osu: Props to Tim Wetzel for his first Buckeye HR.

Georgia Tech takes the rubber game in the series, 13-4

I really thought we'd be more competitive today, but GT made us pay for coughing up 10 free passes in the first 4 innings. They simply did to us what we should have done to them yesterday...

king and Long have been solid thus far and have definitely given the coaching staff something to think about. McKinney and Greve are throwing well, but they are behind in the count 2-0 to seemingly every hitter they face.

The pressure is on to get the rotation settled in the next 3 weeks. Opening B1G play with Purdue and Sparty really ups the stakes. I think you'll see Beals start juggling things starting next weekend. Considering the opponents in Port Charlotte, I think King slides up to the friday spot to face Michigan. :scum4: No need to waste him on a horrible Western Michigan club..it'll be interesting to see who goes in game four on Sunday vs Chicago St. I doubt Beals will know for sure until Saturday DH with WMU concludes.
