Out-Of-State Players To Watch

Desmon white, former Desoto HSU teammate of Dontre Wilson. Hes a 5'6 QB with 2886passing yards and 1175rushing with 43 total TDs! Very interesting story, though he's not coming to OSU and we've shown no interest, the story about him ia still very good. And did I mention he's only 5'6!?!

And I forgot to mention that he's the Texas 5A offensive POY as well. Myles Garrett won the defensive...

'14 IL RB Matt Domer

ESPN $ - RB Matt Domer catching eyes of colleges

Coaches from Auburn, Florida State, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Vanderbilt have visited his school. Grew up a Buckeye fan.

The depth at running back at Illinois 2014 is starting to resemble that of a kiddie pool. One of the key additions to the Class of 2014 by the Illini has failed to meet academic requirements for admission to the university this fall.

Running back Matt Domer was denied admission to Illinois, according to a report byCSN Chicago. While unable to play football for head coach Tim Beckman, Domer reportedly will focus on academics this fall by enrolling at a community college, with the goal of applying once more for the spring semester. Domer is a three-star running back prospect, but was likely to find a solid role on the roster right away if eligible.

Jalen Embry leaving Iowa, will play at JUCO level

jalen-embry.jpeg

The annual mid-August exodus of players who see their positioning on the depth chart continues, with Iowa the latest to see attrition hit its roster.

Kirk Ferentz announced Tuesday that Jalen Embry has decided to transfer from his football program and continue his collegiate playing career elsewhere. Specifically, the defensive back will move on to an unspecified JUCO program.

“Jalen Embry has decided to leave the football team,” the long-time head coach said in a statement. “Jalen has elected to continue his academic and football career at a junior college and leaves Iowa in good standing; both academically and through his citizenship. Our staff and Jalen’s teammates wish him the best.”

Embry was a three-star member of the Hawkeyes’ 2014 recruiting class who took a redshirt as a true freshman.
