2020 PA OL Michael Carmody (Notre Dame Verbal)

Carmody would be the perfect final piece to the OLine class! Imo, Paris and Wypler are can’t-miss players. The other three are probably more considered projects, although I think Grant Toutant is going to be really good! So Carmody, IMO, gives Ohio State three guys who could be year two starters, potential All-B1G type players. Toutant is a guy who is probably considered a depth builder/year 4-5 starter. While James and Leroux are projects, who could become starters, or just add depth.

Really hoping this swings back in Ohio State’s favor!

You never really know with OL. OL recruiting is such a crapshoot. We have had guys on the line the past 10 years I didn't feel would ever start a down at OSU and turned out to be great fixtures for multiple years on the line. And, we have had the opposite where I felt like they would be 2-3 year starters and it never happened for various reasons.

Obviously, getting 5* and future 1st rd NFL picks across the line would be nice, but it all depends on how they are developed and the cohesiveness they build as a unit. I was really concerned about numbers and where we were with depth. Bringing in 4-6 every yr and building that depth back up is huge. Getting a couple highly ranked guys each class is a must.

Hoping Carmody eventually picks the good guys. Would be a nice cap to the OL class.
