2020 PA OL Michael Carmody (Notre Dame Verbal)

Michael Carmody needs to be an absolute take and is a high level offensive tackle.

Would love for him to be a Buckeye.

For sure, one of my favorite OL prospects in this class and I see him as a monster at the tackle position in the future. Paris Johnson and Carmody would make a ridiculous tackle class for 2020.

They missed on guys that are higher on their board than him. Most notably, John Young & Jimmy Christ.

I don't know. Feels like he's an "offer regardless" type of recruit. I don't think ND is good enough to turn down kids of his caliber if all 3 happened to want in, especially the way Universities throw out offers like candy these days. They could have at least "offered". They didn't have to necessarily "OFFER".....lol. It's almost as if coaches dangle "offers" out there as bait to measure mutual interest 1st. Seems like an oversite to me and hopefully them being late to the party helps OSU's cause and eventually solidifies him to the good guys in the end.

I don’t think ND could play the “OFFER” vs “offer” game with a kid who has a sibling on campus. If he wanted to commit and they turned him away, his feelings could be hurt and they’d have to go even lower on their board. They don’t replace good players with good players after they miss like the elites do.

Remember, we’re talking about Brian Kelly here.

I wouldn’t be dissing NDs Oline recruiting. It has out paced ours IMHO over the last couple of years. They have taken some big talent out of Ohio.

Definitely need to watch out for them.

I don’t think anybody said anything negative about their OL recruiting.

But I think that’s a little overstated. They had a nice class last year, not so much so since 2016. Harry Hiestand left and their recruiting slipped.
