"So, Rick, what do you want to know about this gun?"

"The same thing I want to know every time I call you--how much is it fucking worth?"

Funny thing is, that guy isn't even based in Vegas, but Californina.

Assuming they bring him in for a week to tape a season's worth of gun appraisals and he wears a disffrent dickish shirt for every scene.

Probably then hits the strip wearing his shirt hoping people will notice him as the homo from Pawn Stars.

I'm trying to figure out why people like this show. It just seems like a somewhat-fictional version of Antiques Roadshow.

A-the historical stuff is fascinating-Newton's book, George Washington's lottery ticket.

B-Chumlee is a hoot. Rick's son is a douche, but the Old Man is hilarious as well

C-I don't sell stuff on e-bay, but I understand how it would be worth it for smaller value things. I just wonder how easy/quick/realistic it really is to get the appraised value minus 15% at an auction for historical things that need to be sold in person-guns,documents,etc. If you have to wait 3 years for Sotheby's to get you an extra $2000 when you can have $5,000 cash in hand, maybe it is worth it to sell the stuff to the Pawn Shop.

Now that I'm caught up on most of my Pawn Stars reruns, I've been watching Storage Wars on A&E a lot.
that show is a complete farce. rarely does anyone else but the show's "stars" bid on the units. also, look at the people in the background who never bid. casting calls must be held at walmart.

Pawn stars is [censored]ing annoying. History channel should just stop...all of it.

Perhaps the History Channel should do a program on itself and chronicle how it actually used to have shows related to history. Only problem is that the show would end up being aired on the Smithsonian Channel. :(

Come on now, who owns the History Channel?

Answer: Disney, the same company that owns ESPN (who by the way will put any [Mark May] on to increase their ratings and/or make a buck). With the same owners why would the History Channel be any different? However I do like Pawn Stars.
