ok, curious if anyone else ever saw something like this:

defense intercepts a pass.

after play, guy that intercepts the pass “poses” while a teammate “takes a picture”

unsportsmanlike conduct flag flies, which is to be expected.

except, 15 yards for EACH player?!!?
30 yards total for the same celebration?

has anyone ever seen it called that way?

oh and it was the same play as the Devin White “targeting” call.

so actually 45 yards total on the play.

snap took place at Miss St 12.

interception returned to the 13.

however due to the penalties, next snap was Miss St ball at the LSU 42.

haven’t heard much talk about the celebration penalties due to the White targeting call.

I'm split and confused.
On one hand, it's petty.
On another, I can see the logic in wanting to get the "yellow card" on both participants in a premeditated "violation" -- though why a turnover celebration is something you should be handing out yellow cards for is eyeroll inducing.

Can we hand out an unsportsmanlike for every single team member that participates in turnover chain/backpack/dildo/enema ? I might be on board with that.

The correct call. I have seen multiple personal foul and unsportsman penalties marked off several times before.

i’ve seen multiple marked off before. when they’ve been separate incidents.
Like multiple guys involved in shoving matches, etc.

just never saw multiple guys called separately for the same celebration.

it turned out be completely irrelevant because Fitzgerald threw yet another pick like 2 snaps later.

The rules seem to point out that each individual should be mentioned as a 1st warning, but it should only be a 15 yd penalty. Unless the refs are pissed off kodak shareholders.

Better question. 3rd and 8. Team A tackles Team B's ball carrier a solid 3 yards short of the first down, but does so in such an effective manner that, prior to Team B's ball carrier being down, Team A also lodges the ball loose. Issue is, the ball happens to bounce forward 5 yards and goes out of bounds ahead of the first down marker. Question is whether the ball actually should be marked where it went out of bounds, in which case, at risk of stating the obvious, Team B gets a complete windfall even though it'\s player can't hold the ball (which, again, at risk of stating the obvious, is a goal of the game), or the Big Ten refs, as they do every weekend, misapply the rules?

if a fumble goes out of bounds, it is placed at the spot if the fumble if fumbled forward. placed at the spot where it went out of bounds if fumbled backwards.
