Even with all of the bickering and bitching we've been doing Urban Meyer has the Ohio State Buckeyes on the second longest winning streak in it's illustrious history. In his second freaking year people. Think about this for just a moment. On Saturday we can extend the winning streak to 20 games. The only other coach to do that EVER, is Wayne Woodrow Hayes. Urban Meyer has a very realistic chance to unseat Woody's record in only his second year. Just more food for thought until Saturday gets here.

I remember the Woody years of Arch and Co., this feels like that..every win is parsed. The media even back then looked for the cracks in the team instead of celebrating the wins.

That is worthy of noting, but how much of the streak is due to lack of quality in our opponents? It would have been difficult for Cooper to have achieved that in the 90's, due to the quality of competition during that era in the B1G. Ofcourse Michigan was another reason for Coop
. I will say that if Bill O'Brien sticks around at PSU, they could become another B1G powerhouse once the sanctions are lifted. Not sure Hoke will accomplish the same for the Piss and Blue.

UFM took a 6-7 team completely lacking focus and drive and took them to 12-0 in a season when they were playing for pride and basically nothing else. No, they aren't nearly as talented as a whole as some of the Cooper teams, but those teams never went 12-0 either.

I wish I could say Ohio State is going to go out and destroy the Pedsters, but I don't see it happening.
I'd hate to think this team will again play down to another team's level, but I'm starting to think that their level is only a half-step above most in the Big Ten.
So I'll go with:
Ohio State 34 Penn State 24 or so.

Agreed, we haven't shown that we can blow out a quality team so while I expect a win, I think it'll be tight until late into the third or early 4th and we win by 10'ish. I'll take it though, as long as we get a W and can read PSU boards afterwards complaining how we got away with atrocious holding calls, PI's, and that Joe would have found a way to win, I'll be happy.
