Even though this is fake, there is still a portion of their base who still defends JoePa and to an extent Sandusky as well.
My father in law just passed a month ago, and he was a loyal PED St fan from Scranton, PA. His family came in town, and after the service the beer and alcohol started flowing and talk eventually came around to sports and CFB. I should’ve known there wouldn’t be logical conversation when one one the cousins had a “JoeSus” hat. But he and his dad argued that Urban Meyer was the same as Joe Pa for allowing an assistant to beat his wife, and that was worse than Sandusky diddling kids under Joe Pa’s watch
And they believed that CFB railroaded them and other schools have done much worse. I finished my beer and left the conversation, because you just can’t change stupid when it’s associated with a cult
