Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

He's already a legend but if he gets PSU in trouble now, for something he did then he will be up there with all time Wolverine slayers on my cool mother fucker list.

The meltdown would be epic
I'm still not a fan of his from the shit he pulled there......but this would warm me up to him

I could see being able to prove they paid Maybin's dad, if if happened, but to prove that LJSr was the one who asked for it? Nah. And I can live with plausible deniability in today's NCAA.

Yeah, I was half way kidding anyway although the BWI meltdown would be orgasmic.

Let's be real though, nothing will come of any of this.

Let’s be honest though, proving somebody did something vs. a Social media lynching are two different things these days.

After what happened to Urban last off season, I highly doubt this goes away quickly or quietly.

people can cry about the social media all they want, but i'm not going to assume coaches are all goody two-shoes. and i'm not going to absolve coaches of the problems they've created, as was the case with meyer and a certain assistant who proved over and over and over again that he was a ticking time bomb that was 100% going to blow up sooner or later. the issue with zach smith and the fallout was not social media. the issue was zach smith and his superiors who repeatedly looked the other way and covered for him simply because he shares blood with an ex-coach.

social media is an easy scapegoat when taking responsibility is too difficult.

Sure because Meyer was the wife beater. it’s easy to hide behind the internet wall and accuse people of things you have no proof of. Not saying Meyer is beyond reproach here, but I’m a bit old fashioned in asking/expecting the accuser to provide proof.

you're missing the point. out of meyer's own mouth he admitted that he looked past all of zach's repeated red flags because he was bruce's grandson. no one else gets such a long leash despite so much foolishness. that's on urban. i mean, urban threatened to fire him in 2014 because he was going to strip clubs with high school coaches. he threatened to fire him again in 2015 because zach was repeatedly late to meetings and even lied about attending scheduled recruiting trips. heck, in 2016, zach was known to be hooked on adderall. but every time, urban just slapped his wrist. you don't need last summer's controversy to know that zach should have been fired a loooooooong time ago.

hire a clown, expect the circus.

I have to disagree. Even with ZS in that situation proving to be a dildo and going down in flames, the whole deal as it ultimately affected OSU absolutely was a social media brouhaha. This was a landmark case in the Court of Facebook, because that is where the story started and fully played out. Even ZS's and Urban's fallout was as much due to their reaction to the "story" as it was to their prior professional conduct.

As to this case, there are bigger names in this story than LJ, and we've seen how not-eager the NCAA is to address it to this point, so I assume this too shall pass.

if you can't deal with social media brouhaha while at a program the size of ohio state, then don't continue to employ an assistant who regularly acted like a jackass on social media, frequented strip clubs with high school coaches, skipped recruiting trips while lying about it, popped adderall so much that he was sent to rehab, took dick pics at the white house, and had spider enhancer thong triple cock rings sent to his office while boning the boss' secretary. the administration said they didn't know about the last two, but that's like saying, "okay, i know bubba likes to get it on with the chickens and goats, but i'm absolutely shocked to learn that he likes to suck the horse's cock!"

And yet without a McMurphy to light the fire in his very special way, it's basically a non-story. That was social media sensationalism in peak form... but this is drifting off topic, because it's really a different shade of manufactured social media outrage that we're talking about here.
