I wasn't trying to put words in your mouth. I was just illustrating my point with other examples of the same phenomenon. Being labeled a "bust" doesn't mean "unproductive" It means "didnt live up to the hype" and Peppers might well be the very defintion of over hyped compared to his actual production.
All I ever said was that he had a good career and I listed 4 of the 10 posted as being players I think had good college careers. You brought up DPJ when he was one of those players on that post and I did not defend him too. The other 6 sucked.

someone please post the video clip of JT Barret faking Johnny Heisman out of his jock.

I believe it was Josh Perry who said in candor that if JT jukes you, you are a really bad athlete.

I also believe Urban Meyer said something to the effect that Peppers was what he thought he was coming out of HS, a really good return guy.

Not sure of any of that puts me in the top 50% of internet football knowledge guys but I'll roll with it anyway.

BYW, did Mr Peppers notice he had to go down the line to Damon Webb to find a comp for his family member?

For us bottom 50%’ers:

I went to Damon Webb as the other Safety was Malik Hooker. Since when did Urban recruit really good return guys?

What does that have to do with anything? Urban Meyer, when asked about Peppers in an NFL draft context said he was a really good return guy. It was a backhanded slap at Peppers. Meaning that he didn't think he was a great football player.

Not sure if Urban is in the upper 50% with you when it comes to football but I know he's smarter than me so I pay attention to a lot he has to say.

It means that he was the other starter for Ohio State...I didn’t go “all the way to Damon Webb” I went past Malik Hooker that is all. So urban admitted that he recruited a returner?

I’m an Ohio State Grad and a Browns fan. Don’t call me Mr Peppers for thinking he was actually good. This is where my “all the way to Damon Webb” post came from

If this dude didn’t go to TTUN you would all agree he had a good career.

You’re fighting a losing battle trying to convince anyone here that Peppers on field production actually lived up to the ridiculous hype he received.

He had a ok career at best. Definitely didn’t live up play quality wise to his lofty recruiting ranking and media hype (just cause he attempted to play offense, and did so pretty mediocrely)

I never said he lived up to his hype or the ridiculous media hype. I simply said he was a good player and not a 5 star bust like a lot of people have stated

With all due respect, I know more about football than at least 50% of people on this board.
Yeah, that self-righteousness will earn you a lot of respect here.

And while I know I just started posting, I’ve been reading this board daily for the last 12 or so years.
Seeing as you joined on Jul 21, 2011, did you lurk for three years before deciding to join?
