Let me be clear that I don't want Ledee to transfer (I'd much rather keep him on the roster than, say, swap him for Diallo). But I'd be surprised if HE doesn't want to transfer.

That's just how it is these days. But for all I know Ledee comes back and tries to make the best of it.

there is a thread in the Rumor Mill about a possible basketball transfer. I think everyone will admit that basketball come second at BP and over the years has sort of been a stepchild. Rules for football threads do not always apply to basketball.
Also, that is pure speculation about LeDee with no substance..

Yeah that’s my point. Pure speculation in a players thread is totally bogus to me.

Why is it taboo to wonder if a player is coming back as long as there are no insinuations that the player should leave?

Transfers are so frequent and prolific now in college basketball, even Holtmann just recently said in an interview that it's something that the coaches have to think about and be prepared for.

I think it's just as bad to assume that you're going to return everyone that you currently have. Better to be real about it and say, "Yeah, I could see why this player may want to leave, I am not going to assume that they are returning just yet."

It’s just tacky. Put it this way, would you really like to read that if you were a player or you were one of their family members? It’s just bad form to be so openly discussing that in a players thread. It’s basically talking openly about something NOT going according to plan. To transfer means something hasn’t worked out as intended for either side. And to SPECULATE that something like this is going on is simply bad manners.

I guess everyone's different. If I were Ledee I wouldn't be reading these comments as insulting or in poor taste. I'm specifically wondering if he's going to be content with back-up minutes behind Kaleb whereas in a different situation he could be playing more, possibly even starting the next season he plays. That's actually a compliment to his potential while also acknowledging that maybe he can find a better roster scenario for himself. Unless Ledee thinks he should be starting over Kaleb, in which case I guess he might be insulted by my comments, yeah.

He needs to get stronger and improve defense he would have played a lot more if he had those two things...because the kid didn't hurt us on offense and he can be trusted at the free throw line, he will have a chance for a spot in regular rotation next season...for all we know he could come back looking as good as Lidell but with college experience because that's who he'll be competing with for minutes

Really hoping Ledee sticks it out but I personally don't see it. The roster situation does not look great for him and he is quite far from home. Speculative but he appeared to be disengaged on the bench the last few games.

I think the kid has great potential and wish him luck either way.

What’s wrong with you guys?!?!? He’s a Buckeye right this minute for crying out loud. What don’t you just offer to help him pack his bags while you are at it?!? Sheesh.

This is freaking ridiculous. Until I hear otherwise, the dude is a Buckeye. Maybe he won’t be tomorrow but this speculation is absurd and not fair to him at all.
