PG C.J. Jackson (Official Thread)

Saw a different CJ in the first two games. He was creating, instead of dribbling and passing to Diop, et al. Liked the way he was involving the other players, believe we've got some great (to be) freshmen, that CJ is nurturing along. Great show of leadership. Tried to watch the huddles, to see if he was talking up the frosh, but camera didn't cooperate much. Believe Woods will help, and those trading off PG responsibilities will keep both fresh, and cause some opponent defensive lapses. Go Bucks!

I know that CJ came through big time in the second half yesterday but he has got to learn to get a better handle on the ball. For a PG, he looked like crap in the first half. Sometimes I think he tries to do things which he is incapable of doing on a basketball court.

It's because he's not really a PG, he's more a 6'1 CG who has had to play a lot of PG for us out of necessity. We looked really solid late in the game with Woods running more of the point role and CJ focusing on his scoring, CJ really started to excel and Woods racked up 10 assists without a turnover. Perhaps we are going to see more of that going forward, especially given the fact that Woods was one of the starters Saturday.

Glorious. I could watch the bottom one all day....just pick out a person in the stands and watch their reaction as it goes in. My favorite is the guy in gray right behind the "promise" sign who is standing with his arms spread wide......until the shot goes in. If you google "deflated", I think that you'll find him there.

"CJ Jackson is unavailable today for @OhioStateHoops with shoulder injury," basketball sports information director Dan Wallenberg tweeted. "Status is day to day."

Jackson injured the shoulder in the second half of Ohio State's win against Northwestern after taking a hard fall. The point guard came out of the game, went back to the locker room but returned to the bench before checking back into the contest. In total, Jackson played 18 minutes while scoring five points and registering two assists. On Friday, head coach Chris Holtmann said Jackson's shoulder bothered him in practice the day prior.
