Pittsburgh Penguins (Official Thread)

Well orpik has declined his offer hahahaha... Gosh its amazing how getting to the cup makes everyone's worth shoot through the roof. Malone is a 3m a year player and is demanding 5! Orpik is a 3 mill a year player and demanding over 4, and Hossa claims to want to take less money to stay and gets a slight raise and declines. Man what is this team going to look like if all these players have declined our pens?

They better go out and get Nasland for around 4 million, and like 2 other wingers because we're in trouble. Not to mention another hard hitting defenseman as well. The team is falling apart here so far this is the worst case scenerio if you're a pens fan.

The Bolts sign Malone for 7 yrs $31MM. His salary the first 2 years is 8 Mil per . Whoa..... way too much, but good for him getting it. The 4th round pick is now a 3rd. Thank you.

Think there would be any mutual interest between Jagr and the Pens if the Rangers can't work something out? It would certainly be intriguing. With the heated series in the playoffs and the fans constant booing of Jagr, I'm not sure how much interest he'd have. It would be cool to see him win a cup with both Mario and Sid. :wink2:

It sucks that Hossa left, although I thought he was a hired gun from the start and since we made it to the Stanley Cup final I consider it a worth-while trade. Seen rumors where we are looking at Jagr and Naslund. I haven't heard much on the Orpik front, i'd like to keep him, just depends on how much.

Also, The Malkin Extension is official. So maybe now, I'll stop seeing the Malkin trade rumors at every hockey site I goto.
