Fortunately Maryland tried a pass play (incomplete) in lieu of giving the ball to McFarland when they went for 2 in OT and Ohio State won 52-51.

About that 2018 Buckeye run defense...

Artavis Pierce (who?), Oregon State, 80 yard TD run
Artavis Pierce, 78 yard TD run
Pierce finished with 168 yards on only 11 carries. He's an UDFA for the Bears.

Darius Anderson, TCU, 93 yard TD run
Anderson finished with 154 yards on only 12 carries. He's an UDFA for the Cowboys.

DJ Knox, Purdue, 40 yard TD run
DJ Knox, 42 yard TD run
Knox finished with 128 yards on 16 carries.

That's 450 yards on 39 carries (11.5 ypc) by two UFDAs and a guy no longer in football.

McFarland gained 614 yards last season for the Terps. The Steelers took him in what round?
