Yeah GW!!

That picture shows you how short he actually is.

Just curious you guys talk about how many other "small school" fans come over here and talk about how they have some player that you have never seen before, then you go and shut them down. How many of those players were 1st team all-americans?

Not sure...they became insignificant after we brutalized them.

Also, your sig line contains a spelling error: All-time NIU Freshman Recieving Record Holder

:wink2:

Most "small" schools don't produce All-Americans on a consistent basis (Rothliesberger is the last one from the MAC I can recall, and Marshall seemed to quit producing AAs after Pennington). But, it's irrelevent where the AAs we face come from...under Tressel we've shut virtually all of them down. Phillip Rivers did excel in the OTs in their loss to us, and Vince Young came through in the clutch last year, but other than that, all the other big-time players (bonafide Heisman candidates) that came into The Shoe got drilled (Kliff Kingsbury, Jason Gesser, Larry Johnson, Cody Pickett, etc.).

Bottom line is, we don't give a shit where the All-Americans come from...we drill them just the same.

Kliff Klingsbury played in a gimmic offense. Shuting down a PAC-10 QB is so very easy for athletic defenses like yours.

Shutting down L.J. is damn impressive though.

My point wasn't you can't do it, but you guys say how all the small schools come over and talk about etc. etc. you've never seen a player like him before. Garrett Wolfe has some actual merit to back himself. You've seen players like Wolfe, you've seen all types of players, but he isn't just another player.

You may very well shut Wolfe down, I don't think you will but that isn't what I am talking about here. All I was talking about was Wolfe having merits to back himself up. You seem all about earning respect, well over the last 2 years Wolfe has earned that.

ALL I am saying is he isn't your typical small school opponent that you have said fans come in and say they are the best player yada yada. That's it, nothing more.

Even with our "new" defense, ours will be the best he has ever faced, along with his playing in front of the loadest crowd he has ever played in front of. I don't care what accolades he has or what he has done against others, he ain't done jack shit against us yet.

As for Kingsbury's "gimmic" offense, our defense was the only one that totally shut him down, while virtually all others gave up a ton of points.

Did you say that about Vince Young too? He hadn't done jack shit against you.

You are completely missing the point on what I was saying.

If you're even comparing Wolfe to Young then you may as well leave for good. And I'm not missing the point. Your point is that you think Wolfe's shit doesn't stink...well, you'll get to smell it on Sep 2nd, because it'll be knocked right out of him by the best defense he has ever seen.

I'm not.

You said Wolfe hasn't done anything against Ohio State, well yeah because he has never played them.

And again, you missed the point in my post. You may very well shut him down, but that has nothing to do with what I was talking about.

Maybe I missed something but being on the PLAYBOY All-American list doesn't make you a legit All-American.
