Since this shit has already taken over the world in less than a week, might as well just bow down & give it a thread of its own.

The apartment complex right next door has lots of Pokemon that spawn, but my subdivision gets bupkis (likely because it was barely started when Ingress, what the locations are based on, came out). Work, though, is a great place to be. All 3 office buildings have a PokeStop at the entrance of the buildings and a gym at the pyramid thing in the middle courtyard out front. Disney is just ridiculously great for catching them and also loading up on items at PokeStops, so I do have that going for me, at least.

You're all a bunch of geeks.

That said, I'm thinking about going to my fathers house and tearing through the basement. I know there are at least 300 cards of mine down there somewhere and at least a 1/3 of them holo's, rares and 1st editions.
Probably stop these freaks on the street and sell a few.

Similar to the Wii being revolutionary for getting people up off the couch and moving while playing video games, this seems even more so in that it gets people walking around outside and interacting with other people.

It's an interesting phenomenon in that regard at the very least, especially in the context of the horrible week for public interaction in the United States outside of this.

I haven't seen as much walking around as I have seen biking around with one hand on the phone....

How was work today? We were slammed, my boss was in rare form, everyone kept calling in and complaining, but on my coffee breaks I was able to scoop up loads of Pokemon, which is nice.

 This statement is more true for our offices than you probably expected. Although, I don't even have to leave my desk, as they usually show up in pairs if I turn on the app for a few minutes.

I live 1/4-mile from the largest Christian church in town. I walk down there frequently with my daughters to take them to the playground. There are three PokeStops and a Gym in the parking lot of this church. The last three days there has been a non-stop flood of people sitting in the lot in their idling cars, or people sitting on the embankment around the parking lot. It's crazy.

I'm guessing this won't do anything to increase attendance Sunday morning though, but parking is going to be a PITA.
