Post count problems

C-Dog: I hate to be the one pointing this out, but the post counter is AFU. I just made a post on the "moderating" thread which showed as my 20th post, but on the "advertising on this site" thread, I also have three posts that show as post #20, and gbearbuck has two posts as post #30. I also saw a few other members whose posts count wasn't being incremented (you have three posts on the "Public Service Annoucement" thread that all show as post #51. When I checked the members list, it indeed showed me as having 20 posts, gbearbuck with 30, and you with 51.

No big deal...just pointing out a minor bug.

No bug, it just calls your post count on the fly.

Instead of writing your post number at the time of your post, it pulls that value from the database when someone calls up a thread.

So all of your posts are going to reflect your current post count. As you add a new post, they'll all update in line.

It's different than what we're used to. And I've sniffed around to see how hard it would be to change it to the ezBoard method a bit. But to be honest, I'm not totally sold myself on which way is better.

Wow, I guess I need to get back to bucknuts (I haven't been posting too much over there the last few weeks... maybe two or three a day...not much for my history...)

I never noticed that until now... don't know which way I like the best...

im thinking the "active" number of total posts is interesting and maybe better.... we have the date and time to check when we posted an idea- or in milis case an expletitive
