Preseason and Regular Season Polls (2016)

Michigan has no ceiling and it seems perfectly reasonable to think the Wolverines could be playing for a national title in Harbaugh's second season. Especially considering the massive talent drain at Ohio State. Don't underestimate Urban Meyer's Buckeyes. Where they go from here will be fascinating, too. But Harbaugh's team is the most interesting in the Big Ten.

If OSU loses two games I don't think they get in.
You're probably right, but not out of the realm of reason. Look how seriously Stanford was looked at by the committee despite not being picked. If we were to lose in a real close one at Oklahoma and lose an early road conference game due to, say, bad weather or missing several key starters, and then run the table with a big win at MSU, trouncing Michigan again, and winning the B1G CCG in a blowout, we could sneak in at #4 depending on how the rest of the top teams have done.

I'm seeing quite a bit of love for LSU already.
not sure what they see that makes them think our QB situation will ever be better than terrible. let alone good enough to seriously make a run.

yeah we got Fournette & Guice and a defense that on paper could be really freaking good, but we got no real threat of anything beside a running game.

WHERE OHIO STATE RANKS IN TOO EARLY TOP 25 COLLEGE FOOTBALL POLLS

OHIO STATE IN TOO EARLY TOP 25 POLLS
The numbers average out to a combined ranking of 7.2, if you're into that sort of thing.

MICHIGAN IN TOO EARLY TOP 25 POLLS
Those rankings average out to 5.1, so it is evident the majority of writers in these polls like Michigan in its second year under Harbaugh.

I know, I know her I go using logic with polls but.......what exactly in the fuck are they returning up north that is any way shape or form better than what OSU is bringing to the field?

OSU has a proven, top shelf QB and a shit load of unproven talent

scUM has another first year starting QB and a gaggle of proven mediocrity

Given Urban Meyers track record of attracting and developing talent you'd think he might get just a little benefit of the doubt here?

Sportswriters do love them some Harbaugh.

Yeah, a good QB is everything in college football, besides Ohio State has consistently had the higher ranked recruiting classes:

Rivals team (recruiting ) rankings. Ohio State scUM

2013......................................................#2..............#5

2014......................................................#3.............#31

2015.......................................................#9............#50

2016.......................................................#3.............#4

Now the only thing in scUM's favor is several members of the 2013 #2 class is in the NFL today.......:oh:....:io:
