As I was starting this, Scott May put one in and the Bucks lead 1-0.

Anyway, this is an important series. These guys swept us in our previous series. We have a shot at as high as 3rd place in the CCHA, and every point helps our NCAA tourney chances. The projects at US College Hockey website have us 11th out of 16 right now. Plus a better seed will improve our chances of ending a 32 year CCHA title drought.

Looks like a dissapointing night on the ice for the bucks as the official site shows a 4-3 overtime loss this evening. This loss prevents the the bucks from having any chance for a third place finnish. Tomorrow night is stll important to retain our current 4th place spot as Notre Dame trails the bucks by just one point. Each team has one game remaining so a loss by OSU and a win by the Irish would mean they would knock us down to fifth. Tomorrow night is the final game of the regular season, and the buckeyes could use our help. If you've never made it out to a hockey game befoe I would really encourage it as they are a lot of fun. The Schott is a much better venue for hockey than it is for basketball.

Well, that went better, although it was scary in the 3rd period. Unfortunately the win gave scum the conference title, but so it goes. CCHA first round playoffs are Friday, Saturday, and hopefully not Sunday at the VCA. Hope a lot of Buckeye fans turn out because BG might have some fans come down. We thoroughly thrased them in our first meeting and squeaked by in the second, both in BG.
