i try to make it a habit of NOT dinging, but there are SEVERAL ding-worthy 'points' in your otherwise worthless wall of text.

TL;DR give yourself an infraction.
1) TL;DR: I do not think it means what you think it means.

2) Infractions: I do not think they are used for that which you think they are used.

7) LJB's a pretty smart guy.

orange) I'm having a cheeseburger for breakfast.

As bad as Ohio State's offense has looked at times, the vaunted Michigan attack has been held to 14 points or less on three separate occasions, and twice they have been denied the end zone. Despite Brady Hoke's claim that he wants to run an I-formation power scheme, quarterback Denard Robinson remains the entire offense, and when opponents shut him down, the Wolverines go nowhere. It will be interesting to see how Michigan fares after Robinson leaves the program at the end of the year.
Denard cannot execute the read option despite four years of practice as the foundation of the offense. It stands to reason that he'd struggle just as much learning a brand-new offense in the I-formation.

It would be a painful transition next year with either Bellamy or Shane (overwhelmed by HS pass rushers) Morris, a rebuilt young OL and even less at the already weak receiver position.

Meanwhile MSU and OSU return nearly everyone.

Here's Pereira on the safety call:

MY TAKE: This was an excellent call by the umpire, who saw Heuerman block Maci in the back in the end zone, which created the safety. Lots of people on Twitter did not think that this was a good call because the block was in the tackle box. Well, it wasn't.

In college, ``the blocking zone'' is defined as the area that encompasses 5 yards laterally from each side of the middle lineman and 3 yards on either side of the line of scrimmage. A block in the back in this blocking zone would normally not be a foul, but since this block occurred 7 yards behind the line of scrimmage and was not in the zone, it was a penalty.

If the Bye was this week..I'd let Herman look at the defense and gameplan for it and see if he sees the same weaknesses the DC sees..it couldn't hurt. Self scouting can't hurt the O or the D. I think most of the problems are talent, injury, or player development issues. Looking backward at many of the preseason projections they were counting on huge contributions from players who are banged up or haven't developed.

It was a horsecollar on Hyde. It's pathetic that the ref was 1 full yard away and still couldn't call it.

The pictures and video show it wasn't a horse collar on Braxton.

Grab on the back of the jersey and pull down. Not sure how that isn't. Rulebook says it doesn't need to be the pads, it can be the jersey.

It seems fairly obvious they were trying to hurt him after Short hit him long after the ball was off. But there was a bit of "aggravated " assault when he got hurt because he was trying to stiff-arm the DB. But the slam down looked pretty obvious so it could have been called. Bad day by the refs over all.

Holy shitsnacks. What a game to not be able to see.....for good reasons and bad.

I'm guessing I was the only person at the Turkish Festival in the Seattle Center following the gamecenter feed as OSU tied it up.

You... not welcome in the PNW again.

Shit, why would I want to? I had a process server chase me all the way to the state line trying to deliver a child support order.

Mrs. Katt... welcome any time. :pimp:

Damn. I knew I shouldn't have left you two alone when I went to the restroom.
