If you bash a Buckeye coach or player on this site, you will leave for 14 days.

he gave me one for stating this after the Boise State- Fresno State game in '09:

Actually, that was a warning.

Well, "Horse-jersey" needs to be a penalty then!!

:paranoid:

I'm with you, when I've heard the rule explained and seen it called, especially on QBs, it doesn't have to be the "collar" or the top of the pads...it just has to be a yank-down tackle from behind that bashes a guy's head into the ground unprotected. I have seen numerous jersey horse collars called, so maybe I don't understand the rule, but that looked like the same thing I have seen called a whole bunch of times before.

If the Bye was this week..I'd let Herman look at the defense and gameplan for it and see if he sees the same weaknesses the DC sees..it couldn't hurt. Self scouting can't hurt the O or the D. I think most of the problems are talent, injury, or player development issues. Looking backward at many of the preseason projections they were counting on huge contributions from players who are banged up or haven't developed.

I agree here 1-buck. I know that Herman and Meyer are still learning from another, but the call by Herman to crowd the defensive line to free up Heuerman for the 2 points after was a huge call. Letting Herman look at the defense and gameplan with the defensive co-ordinator sounds good to me. It can't hurt anything. But the only drawback is that we have so many players
that are really hurting. Too bad we could not get the bye week after the Purdue game to let us heal abit.

Klein...it looked like the same cover 4 B.S. we ran the last two weeks where the LB mans up on the back. If not, I'm sure he should've had deep safety help but the way Purdue came out with that deep ball (and the QB set his eyes on it instantly), I'll guess they saw something they liked in the film room and felt REALLY good about opening the game with it.

Yes that was very obviously a planned play - that walruasshole coach of theirs basically said something to the effect of "we wanted to get up on them early" and that was the play that did it.

Thanks guys. I saw a twitter quote from Bryant saying that Klein and Johnson went to cover the same guy, but didn't say who messed up.

i try to make it a habit of NOT dinging, but there are SEVERAL ding-worthy 'points' in your otherwise worthless wall of text.

TL;DR give yourself an infraction.
It is posts like this that make me say, "Why bother?" And quite frankly, I don't bother nearly as much as I used to, which is why I no longer do the BP Poll, the BP Awards, and recruiting blogs, and rarely do post-game reviews. And the guys who used to write the BP game previews feel the same way as I do, which is why you don't have game previews this year.

We want to keep BP a free and open society, so that even posters like you, who contribute nothing to the site either intellectually or financially, can still have a place to voice your opinion, however misguided and unfounded it may be. But just because we allow whiners and complainers and nit pickers and nay sayers here, it doesn't mean that we have to provide anything for you to tear apart. So when the content dries up and the conversations wind down, and the people who care stop caring, at least you'll know why it's happening.

Bashing: Mike80 is a fucking asshole (even if true)

Not Bashing: Mike80 needs to learn how to play nice with new and disagreeable posters.

See the difference?

So....is this bashing? I'm just wondering. :paranoid:

"Mike80 needs to stop being such a fucking asshole."
