One of the top college basketball prospects is off to the NBA. Purdue star Jaden Ivey declared for the NBA Draft Thursday in a statement released on Twitter. Ivey was one of the Big Ten’s biggest stars and broke out as one of the best players in the nation, putting himself in the No. 1 overall pick conversation.

Purdue big man Zach Edey is returning to the Boilermakers for the 2022-23 season, he announced on his Twitter page. Edey tweeted a highlight video out along with a statement confirming his decision to return to Purdue.

“I’m officially coming back for year three,” Edey said. “Love this campus and the people it has led me to so far. Definitely ready to get to work again. See you in Mackey.”

Semantics, but #1 "ranked" team in the country. I am not sure they are the best team or should be viewed as the tournament favorite. Vegas has them at 16/1 right now which is 5th best odds to win it all. Eddy has been dominant, but they are very dependent on him. They don't have high end talent/athleticism surrounding him and start 2, unranked frosh in the back court. Good team that plays to their strengths and defense pretty well, but there are other teams that are better.

Never mind they shot a bazillion more FTs than their opponents, the B1G allowed teams to maul Purdue without consequence.
