Purdue's defense looks soft but is coming up with big plays.
  2. ND is also shooting themselves in the foot, with a turnover on the 1 yrd line. But I couldn't be happier.

forget the game, has there been a more overhyped movie than Friday Night Lights?? ridiculous, nbc and cbs both devoted a majority of their halftime show to the movie. who the fuck cares? show me some damn highlights...

they both did? I assumed that NBC did because their parent corporation owned the movie studio as well. It's just as annoying as ESPN promoting Hu$tle during Sportscenter.

What a day so far!?! WVU goes down, Purdue still pimping ND, and Georgia looks like it should pass USC for the #2 spot in the poll as the Bulldogs are torching the other defending National Champions.

Cryami is looking alright as well.

The big story of the day is Georgia, for certain. The question, though, is whether the voters decide that LSU just sucks or if Georgia is that good. I'd call it even odds on them passing USC.

It would be nice if Purdue could wind up in the top 10 before we play them. I'd say that this week they can jump Utah, LSU and maybe the loser of Auburn-Tenn if it's a blowout. WVU won't fall far enough, I don't think.

I disagree, i think wvu is about to drop like a rock... the media has been on them before this, they just needed an excuse.

besides, purdue is a media darling and will climb like a monkey

Will Orton join a list of recent Heisman winners who torched Notre Dame as part of their campaign? (Palmer, Woodson, Eddie, Howard)

Was Kyle Orton that great or was it ND's lack of good coverage with their defensive backs? I saw way to many plays where the TE or another WR was way too open with no DB even close to him. I will say that Kyle does have a good touch and deserves to be touted as a good QB though.

Whew LSU is getting their hats handed to them today. WTF OMG how can a guy down himself on the 1 yards line for LSU on a kickoff return !!!! OMG I have never seen that !!!

On the Georgia vs. LSU question, I am going with the LSU sucks option. They have gotten zero production from their QBs this year, and losing some of the stud DLs hurt. They should have lost to Oregon State, who are getting absolutely reamed by Cal as I am typing this. Cal is a fun team to watch and their D is pretty good for a Pac-10 team. (Of course, that is like saying pretty tolerant for an Arab dictator....)

Raping Notre Dame does seem to help out a Heisman campaign
