In Sturdivant's thread it says that Jones will be seeing an offer soon. It would be awesome, like I said earlier, to take both Miller and Jones. I would feel pretty confident at the QB position for awhile..

OFFERS: Iowa, W. Virginia, Bowling Green... INTEREST: Ohio State, Pitt, Illini... Feels he performed well at the Army combine where he measured in at 6'5/217... Knows he has work to do and thinks he can get his forty time down to 4.5... Was able to attend an OSU bowl practice...

Former Glenville & Iowa QB Arvell Nelson had some very complimentary comments about the Iowa program for Jones... Since Nelson had his scholarship revoked due to off the field issues, it really had a favorable impact on Jones' thoughts on the Hawkeyes... He'll be on the Ginn bus tour this summer & he's hoping for a stop in Iowa so he can see the program up close...

I'm kind of confused about this part, cjs. Why would Jones view this positively?

If they booted him and he's still saying good things about the program, Iowa must be doing something right. Compare these comments to those expressed privately by kids who have been booted by other programs and I'm sure there'd be quite a difference.

Talks about spending time with Coaches Sic & Johnson at the OSU junior day... The Bucks have offered 2 QBs & there was no talk of an offer while he was there... If he finds the right place, he might break the Glenville tradition of waiting until near signing day to commit...

Jones threw but didn't participate in any of the testing/drills... He didn't expect the scUM offer since Glenville has such a history of sending kids to OSU... He's hoping to hear more from Ohio State, Penn State, & Pitt...
