QB Dwayne Haskins Jr. (All B1G, B1G OPOY, Silver Football, Rose Bowl MVP, R.I.P.)

I have obtained EXCLUSIVE texts between TREACHEROUS Urban Meyer and FELON Art Schlichter plotting to con RACIAL MINORITY and FORMER CHILD Dwayne Haskins out of an Ohio State passing record.

Find out more on my Facebook Live show "Zen Time with Brett", brought to you by Waffle House and Slap Chop.

Haskins threw some great deep balls yesterday, and his throw to McLaurin was particularly great. Dat boy good.

We had great seats to see the field yesterday. On a couple of occasions there were receivers running wide open and Haskins through into a covered receiver. On one occasion Dixon gets a PI call and on the other Victor makes a huge TD catch. A little air under the pass to Dixon down the middle or to Dobbins on the wheel route and I’m thinking Dwayne has 8 TD passes yesterday.

How amazing would that have been....

Are we really certain that Haskins is going to go? Every mock draft that I could find didn't have him in the first round, and this listing of QBs didn't even include him. I guess if he keeps playing like this and goes to NYC for the Heisman presentation, but I still think staying for another year, lighting it up and getting into the top half of the 1st round is going to weigh heavy in his mind.

College Football Players of the Week: Dwayne Haskins, Brock Purdy star in Week 6

This week, we honor Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins, Florida LB Vosean Joseph and Iowa State QB Brock Purdy

National Player of the Week

Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State: Haskins and the Buckeyes didn't find life as difficult this week against Indiana as they did against Penn State last week. Haskins threw for 455 yards and six touchdowns to lead Ohio State to a 49-26 win. Haskins has now thrown five touchdowns or more in three of Ohio State's six games, and he has 25 touchdowns on the season. Ohio State threw 39 touchdowns as a team all of last seasons, and Haskins is on a current pace to reach 50.

I think the only reason it might be a good year to go is because there are very college QB's that are ready to play in the NFL. I guess if I were advising Haskins I would tell him to stick around one more year because in reality he will have only played one full season of playing major college football and I am not sure how NFL scouts will look at that. I think staying one more year would help him grow physically and also help him with reading defenses.

I hear what you are saying and I would love for Dwayne to stay, but if Jamarcus Russel can go #1 with one decent bowl game and a decent combine, I think only 1 year of tape isn't going to hold back any NFL scouts. Even if his performance tapers off or he has a bad second half of the year (knock on wood that doesn't happen), Dwayne is a guy that will show up to the combine/pro day and blow scouts away with his arm talent. Add that to what you pointed out on a weak 2019 QB class in the draft, and I think he goes first round...and likely high.

I was also surprised at the mock drafts that didn't have him at least late in the 1st round. It's early, but those things are begging for knee jerk reactions and QBs to put in the first round.

A lot of the mock drafts don't list underclassmen.

Earlier this season I found these two:

20. Denver Broncos

Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State. Haskins has looked good early and we know that Case Keenum isn't the long-term answer in Denver. After whiffing badly on Paxton Lynch, John Elway will be under pressure to identify the team's next franchise quarterback.

and

32. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS – QB DWAYNE HASKINS, OHIO STATE
After missing out on a quarterback last year, the Patriots look to the future with Haskins who has shown the ability to throw with zip, touch and accuracy in the early going here in 2018. His 91.0 overall grade is currently ranked sixth in the nation among quarterbacks.
