QB J.T. Barrett (B1G FOY, All American, Silver Football Award, 3x B1G QBOY, National Champion)

I'm not completely back on the hype train yet but it's been a LONG time since I've seen JT look this good. He had absolute command of the offense and he was throwing perfect passes all night. I can't recall a bad throw. He didn't even look this good against the last couple of cream puffs we played.

Just one, he throw a dig route into the ground. I only remember because it was the only throw that was not right directly on the spot. The pass to KJ in the middle of the defenders was amazing, but that deep TD to McLaurin through the wind was downright incredible, maybe the best throw he has had here...that ball could not have have been put anywhere else for Terry to catch that and it was away from the defender so there was no chance of a pick.

The PSU secondary will be a bigger test, but bear in mind the wind last night in Nebraska. Getting himself right.

More concerned about their DL. JT's doing a great job going through reads and delivering the ball accurately, but he's had a ton of time to do so and I'm not sure what happens if the pressure comes a lot faster. I hope the coaches have some things in mind to not just survive but PUNISH any team that tries to bring the heat. The tunnel screen run against Maryland, the RPOs, and involving JK in the passing game might be some nice starting points.

They'll certainly be a bigger test than Nebraska, but the PSU secondary doesn't exactly strike fear into the hearts of opposing teams.

Sure, they're ranked 11th for least Passing Yards allowed [http://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/team/695], but clamping down on the 'passing attacks' of Akron, Pittsburgh, Georgia State, Iowa, Indiana and Northwestern doesn't particularly impress me. Similarly ranked teams include Air Force, Idaho, UVA and Vandy.

Like it or not, just like last year, we won't see JT against an elite defense until either the Michigan game or the postseason. The last few games have certainly been encouraging, however.

4. Barrett accounted for seven total touchdowns against Nebraska — tying his school record — and he was playing with a new level of confidence. Barrett was poised, elusive, accurate, efficient, and he actually juked someone. Considering it seemed like his career was crumbling around him a month ago, it's important to acknowledge it takes a special type of person to block that out and get better.

5. A month ago I thought Ohio State had to make a change at quarterback and take the youthful lumps of Dwayne Haskins for a month to give itself a chance to win a College Football Playoff game later. I now think that Barrett can lead this team to a win in January.

6. Remember a month ago when I said I'm not going to take any of these wins seriously because it's a month full of terrible opponents? I'm shocked that I've changed my tune this much, but I have because it's just impossible to watch the progress of this team and simply ignore it because of the opponents. Maybe ignoring big numbers is fair against UNLV or Rutgers, but Ohio State is taking flawed teams and systematically dominating them across the board. That means something.

7. What's cool about sitting in the press box is that you get a unique view of the field, and that comes in handy when trying to view which receivers are open. Against Oklahoma, nobody was getting open. Against Nebraska, everyone was wide open. Yes, there's a differential between the talent on those two teams, but the wide receivers have seemingly taken a big step.

8. The biggest difference between Ohio State's offense now and what it was a month ago is that everything looks easy now. It's done efficiently and with a purpose. Every yard Ohio State picked up against Oklahoma felt like pulling teeth.

So happy to see this. Absolutely love JT and everything he has done for our program, he will go down as one of our all-time greats no matter what. That being said, I want to see him take us to the promise land not just for the university and fans, but because he deserves it. Kid has given it his all here and everything has been well-earned.

This. Long way to go. We aren't as bad as the OU game indicated, nor as good as Nebby just let us play. Just can't help but root for JT. Whatever his flaws may be, he has a shit ton of heart ... and I appreciate that ... lead on captain!

Agreed with all of that. I think we should all take the last few weeks with a spoon full of salt but hell, JT is our guy and how could you not want the guy to thrive here? Nobody else I would want leading us into battle this year, JT is the best leader you could ask for. I really hope this momentum keeps going because I just really, really, REALLY want to see a JT-led team get us to the playoffs.

I hope he gets ANOTHER opportunity to lead us in the playoffs.

The Nebraska game has me a little more confident because many of the passes JT threw would have been completed against GOOD defenses. That's the big difference for me. You couldn't say that the last couple of games.

JT had a number of brilliant throws and he's been doing this now for a few weeks in a row. I specifically remember that throw between four defenders as my "did you see that" comment to my wife. He is throwing people open, throwing them in stride, and more importantly isn't making mistakes. Like no mistakes.

We will get challenged by Ped no doubt but the way I look at their defense is that they don't have it where it matters most and that's up front and at corner. They have a great LB core and a dominant safety but they aren't as explosive up front as they were last year and they don't have a lock down guy at corner either. I really feel Ped is going to struggle getting pressure with 4 and if they blitz which they have a high tendency to do that's man coverage in the back end which IMO is a bad look for anyone against what this offense is right now.

JT is taking what is open right now and that's why we are seemingly taking turns deciding who's going to have a big night receiving. Campbell for example had his best games early in the season against IU, ARMY and UNLV however teams adjusted. The past few weeks teams have taken away Campbell but that has left Dixon to have his big game vs Rutgers, Victor against Maryland, and now KJ against Nebraska. Teams are attempting to take away what we do best but the issue is right now if you take away something we will just kill you another way with someone else. That's on top of trying to slow down our running game.

I said I wouldn't be impressed with our offense until Ped but I've seen enough domination to know a good offense when I see one. I'm all in on this team and we are about to take some things out on Ped if you ask me.
