QB Jack Miller (transfer to Florida)

Would love to add both but if Jack is going to prioritize his efforts, Ringo please and thank you. Absolutely love his game, think he is in the Okudah mold. Anyways, back to Jack. Awesome job getting MVP coming off the mend, very impressive. I think absent the injury, you would see Jack right on 5* status...legitimately think he is a top 3 QB in this class.

I am extremely high on Miller to the point I think he is the best QB OSU has recruited in recent memory at this point in his development. When comparing Terelle, Braxton, JT, Dwayne, Troy, Justin, etc. as HS juniors to where Miller is right now I think he is at the top. There is no reason to think he won't be the heir apparent to Fields and be an amazing addition to the QB room.

What makes him so different in your opinion?

Great question. And obviously if he comes anywhere close to producing what Dwayne brought to the team this year then OSU will be lucky. Dwayne shattered just about every record and was a Heisman finalist. Guys like that don't come around very often. I'm just comparing high school juniors. Jack has great (but not quite elite) arm strength but more importantly I think he has elite touch on his ball. He has tremendous accuracy and timing and can make a lot of throws because of his anticipation. Can throw guys open and fit a ball into a tight window and is known for putting the ball exactly where it needs to be. Throws a phenomenally tight spiral with a ton of RPMs (people talked about how he wasn't really affected by the wind or rain at the SoCal Opening camp and it's because of that). Football IQ is spectacular and will only get better working with Coach Day. The one area Dwayne was easily better than Jack at this stage was on his release. Haskins has an amazingly quick and natural release. Jack will need to work on his mechanics although it has already improved over the last year. His delivery is so smooth but can be a little long at times. He's got great size and good athleticism and is a capable runner although that's never going to be a big part of his game. I just think there is a ton to like here.

Great analysis Wade I appreciate it! I can never really get a good feel for QBs when it comes to their abilities in HS.

With Day here I don't worry too much anymore about having an elite QB. Championship teams need elite QBs too so that has me excited.

Robinson and Ringo are very get-able prospects imo. Would be a huge steal to get either, but I am hoping Jack can help bring them in. Ringo looks like an Okudah clone and we know how bad we need DBs. In any event, it's great to have Jack Miller as a solid commit in this class and helping with recruiting.

Miller won't have to go after Ringo by himself as he's also friends with Gee Scott Jr.
