QB Joe Burrow (transfer to LSU, 2019 Heisman Winner, National Champion, Cincinnati Bengals)

and the rest wind up transferring......but you are, of course, completely correct. The one that 'fits' the system, or 'actualizes' the offense the best, gets the minutes. The rest get the pine....until it's their time. Go Bucks!

Burrow Set For Biggest Game Of Career
Future Buckeye quarterback Joe Burrow has been spectacular in leading Athens (Ohio) High School to a 5-0 record thus far this season. Burrow has completed 63 of 83 passes (75%) for 1,551 yards. He has connected for 24 touchdowns with just a single interception. Burrow has rushed for 166 yards on 24 carries, averaging 6.9 yards per carry.

Burrow and his Athens teammates have scored at least 50 points in all five games. But their big test comes tonight when Athens travels to 4-1 Steubenville. Steubenville is 4-1 with their only loss coming last week to Massillon Washington 26-13.

“We haven’t played a team like this in the regular season since I have been here,” Burrow said. “Some people say this might be the biggest regular season game in the history of the school. I don’t know if I would go that far, but I know Steubenville is really good.”

The hype surrounding the game includes word the crowd could exceed 10,000 tonight.

Also on the line for Athens could be a birth in the Division III state playoffs. A loss will make it difficult for Athens to make it to the post-season even if they win the rest of their games and finish 9-1.

Burrow is focused on his senior year in high school and the current football season. But he also is in contact with the Ohio State coaching staff on a regular basis.

“I talk to coach (Urban) Meyer and coach (Tom) Herman every Monday night,” Burrow said. “And I talk to coach Herman every Thursday.”

Unless there is a change in the next couple of months, Burrow won’t be graduating early. The 6-foot-4 and 205-pound Burrow is a very good basketball player who could break the school career scoring record. He helped lead Athens to a 18-4 record last season.

But football and tonight in particular are the focus for Burrow.

Burrow is a 3-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite. He is the country’s No. 14 dual-threat quarterback, and the No. 17 prospect in Ohio.
