I'm pretty sure he'll count against the scholarship limit. Jim Baron Jr. the son of Rhode Island's basketball coach gets a free education since he's the son of a university employee but counts against their scholarship limit. I think this has something to do with using outside scholarships to get around the 85 man limit.

I don't think he ever signed an LOI.

Correct.

How good was Joe in comparison to other qb's in the '04 class?

Severl "experts" have stated that Joe was one of the more underrated players in the nation. He flew under the radar because of the baseball thing for quite a while.

Hey if he gets enrolled for spring he might get some much needed reacclimation time so he could be geared up for the summer. Who knows. The thing I would be most interested in is how healthy is he? Any competition would be good cometition at this point and the fact that we may now have another option is just great in my book.

It would be great if someone could find the original info on Joe as a QB prospect and post it?
I haven't had any luck, so far.

I added Joe's Scout and Rivals profiles to the first post in this thread... There are articles linked in the profiles that will allow you to read more about his QB accomplishments and original recruitment... The Rivals profile also has their video of Joe still up...
