QB Joe Burrow (transfer to LSU, 2019 Heisman Winner, National Champion, Cincinnati Bengals)

I like joe well enough. It's the level of appreciation that's odd. Like no one hates the others who have transferred but they sure as hell aren't openly rooting for their new team either.

Anyway, I really don't care that much so this will be my last post on the topic but from reading this thread some of y'all are going to have a difficult decision to make if tOSU and LSU meet in the CFP lol

Is there a single vitriolic post towards Baldwin or Mathis? This is a team with zero other QBs and they aren't even discussed. Partially because Tate was the highly ranked guy, but mostly because of the immature exit.
I don't even know who they play for now. Are there more posts in their threads post-OSU? Are people rooting for their new teams?

THIS will be my last post lol

I'm ok with Jeaux, but if UGA picking him off 4 times and winning this weekend would mean that a current Buckeye, rather than a grad transfer former Buckeye, would win the Heisman, I'm all for it.

But I've preferred Burrow to Tua or Hurts or any other non-Buckeye all year.

I'm not sure how the Bama fans feelings for Jalen Hurts have changed since Tua got hurt and they lost at Auburn. If Hurts had stayed as a backup, they could still be alive for the playoff, so I'm sure there are some selfish Bama fans now ticked that he left.

But both Hurts and Burrow actually graduated before they left, and went somewhere where they could thrive. It worked for them, but it doesn't obligate fans of their former team to root for their new teams.

Just to clarify since they're airing the interview on him now.

Said he told Meyer first out leaving and had an "emotional" conversation with him. Joe said the coaches didn't want him to go and he didn't want to leave tOSU. But felt it was best for his playing career.

So, yeah... we might play Joe on the field this year and that will be bittersweet. But I stand by Joe when we say, "Once a Buckeye, Always a Buckeye"

He will always be a Buckeye. He puts that uniform on and plays against the Buckeyes, then he is temporarily just like everyone else wearing it. He made the right decision to leave and that is that.

You and I know there are Buckeye”fans” that wanted Joey to win the heisman over JF,JK and Chase.Heard em at game last night had to bite my tongue. Decked out in their Buckeye Gear.

Memories of the Troy Smith banquet circuit? It doesn't help tOSU that we have 3 guys in the discussion. As they said last night hopefully next year will be Fields year.
