That's the amazing thing about all this. The guy is just in his first year in the program... he's been on campus less than a calendar year. If he continues to develop, it's hard to quantify how high his ceiling is.

I’ll say it... he’s better than Dwayne. Just as accurate, doesn’t force anything, just as big of an Arm, has another level he can get to, and he’s a threat to go 80 whenever he wants also.

We should’ve known Day would be a lights out recruiter based off of him landing JF.

I love Justin, but Joe is flat out better right now and there's no shame in that. He's a 5th year senior who is shattering conference records and may set the NCAA record for completion percentage; he'll be a top 5 pick. Justin still occasionally makes 1st-year starter mistakes (e.g. that near pick vs Maryland). But he's miles ahead of where Joe was as a true sophomore, and he can be as good as he wants to be. Just saying this year Joe has the edge. Of course, I'm sure someone is still going to read this as me hating on Justin.

It's close but you have to look at what we've asked Justin to do...we aren't asking him to be our biggest weapon like LSU is with Joe.

I 100% think JF could out do Joe if we really needed him to.

Long way to go for Fields to be at Haskins level as a QB. Needs a big windup and body torque to push the ball downfield which is why he’s late or inaccurate on many deep balls. Doesn’t have near the footwork in the pocket, either. Great athlete though, who opens up the running game. So, he probably benefits a college offense in more ways than Dwayne.

Agree with what @heisman said in regards to this. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Dwayne was about as good of a passer you'll see at the college level IMO. Compact release, top arm strength, great accuracy on almost every type of throw.

Fields is just what this team needs this year and he's doing great work. I also think he can get close to Dwayne as a passer. Might be hard to get his release but i won't doubt him.

Jeaux is almost certainly going to win the Heisman next month, and it will be well-deserved, but I'm happier having Justin because he's got at least one more year after this one.

Justin currently has 27 TD passes, 10 rushing TDs, and 1 interception. Troy Smith won the Heisman with 30 TD passes, 1 rushing TD, and 6 picks.
