QB Justin Fields (2019-20 B1G Off POY, 2020 Silver Football, 2019 B1G CCG MVP, Pittsburgh Steelers)

yeah, just watched the OU comeback over Baylor. We don't need Fields taking the hits that Hurts did on his 27 carries but he is going to need to stick his nose in there and pick up some tough yards down the stretch for this team to win it all.
Thats what Hurts has been doing all year and that's why I've always believed Justin is the best QB in college even as a first year guy. I truly think if we let JF play every snap and stayed aggressive he would average 300 yards passing a game and honestlt might be near 45 TDs with a minimum 3 games to go.

On the other hand, he could get to 100 in a hurry. Rip off a 55 yarder and a few more and there you are.

I don’t want to risk injury either, but running the ball is part of the game. Unless absolutely necessary we shouldn’t ride him like Urban did JTB, but he’s a weapon and seems to be smart enough to avoid unnecessary contact.

The bolded is the most important part. Justin is going to have to run the ball at certain points down the stretch. He just can't take unnecessary hits. I think he's been pretty good about it so far, but there's been a few times where I think he could have done a better job of not taking such a hit (ie driving instead of sliding). Can't wait to see him against PSU, feel like he'll be ready to bring it against his home state that lost their mind when he didn't go to PSU.

If our OL does their job Fields and Dobbins will do theirs. Just don't turn the ball over.

Exactly.

Fields counts right and puts them in the right plays, OL does their thing and this one could easily get out of hand. The PSU secondary can't handle the OSU skill and this offense is just so balanced.

Going to be very difficult for PSU to keep OSU below 40 imo.

Weather, turnovers or a Fields injury are the things that could keep this closer than it needs to be.
