QB Kenny "the old righty" Guiton (WR Coach Wisconsin)

It is out of 2400 these days. That score is actually slightly below 50th percentile.

Sorry for the buzzkill.

Not necessarily, the student has the option of whether to take the SATII or the regular SAT. The SATII includes a writing section. Therefore many athletes do not take part in taking the SAT II and stick with SAT I and ACT scores.

I'm not saying that that's what Kenny did but it is a possibility.

This may have been mentioned in one of the previous posts, and if so I apologize for the redundancy..... I really like the idea of getting an under-the-radar kid like Guiton every few years who can come in and, at worst, provide quality depth by the time he is a junior or senior. Sure, he may eventually get passed up by a '10 or '11 recruit on the depth chart, but by the time he is an upperclassman, he'll be quite familiar with the offense and be effective at managing the game should an injury to the starter arise. I'd rather have a guy to put in there who knows the offense and has the maturity that comes with experience in such a situation rather than a guy who has virtually no time in the offense have to step in instead. Programs who land highly rated recruit after highly rated recruit often end up with shallow QB depth charts as guys transfer out to get more playing time. Sure, Guiton could end up doing the same thing (or even force others to transfer if he ends up being starter material), but it seems less likely with a lower-rated recruit than with a higher rated one.

Sweet stuff, welcome aboard. He is from a very talented school and hopefully this can get us in on some more talent there. It's nice to know we'll have a QB in this class and it sounds like he is a good kid, with good people around him. Quality get.
