Former Ohio State QB Kenny Guiton the new WR coach at Houston
by Luke Zimmermann@lukezim Apr 21, 2017, 1:09pm EDT TWEET

Kenny Guiton’s run in Austin with former Ohio State OC Tom Herman, the new head coach at Texas, appears to be a short one.

After the University of Houston dismissed their wide receivers coach, Guiton is going to replace him in the same role. This will mark Guiton’s first job as a full positional coach in the college ranks.

Guiton had been set to serve as an offensive quality control assistant, biding his time for a full positional opportunity and continuing to build coaching experience, at the University of Texas. He’d served in a variety of capacities as a graduate assistant for Herman prior when the two were at Houston.

Cont'd ...
That's an impressive 2 year climb. Love that Urban sees the potential in backup QBs to be coaches and makes sure they are prepared. Does right by the guys that give him all they have. Look forward to following Kenny G's career.

I keep coming back to Kenny G when I think about potential openings.

I know he’s taken the WR coaching path, but I’d be glad to have him as any part of the passing game/QB room if Yurcich is out. Day and Hartline have proven their chops running the attack already so it wouldn’t be asking too much.

Guiton’s LaTech take on Miami today.
