Just recently... I'm sure he was on the radar, but we didn't show much interest until a couple of days ago...

I'm told that the kid had a lot of bigger looks and early offers but waited too long and other schools filled up at the QB position... But in this case Kenny waiting looks like it will pay off for him...

This is the part I LOVE about the above article:

Rivals.com lists Guiton with a 3.3 GPA and a 1340 SAT score. Evans said Guiton's father is a teacher and assistant coach with the football team, while his mother founded the team's booster club.

Involved parents that know the importance of an education... Not to mention he's a coach's son as well...
Sounds like a quality kid and family from all I've been reading...

honestly he doesn't exactly pass the "look test" and his film isn't amazing, but he also seems like a really good kid with a great family. even if it takes him a while to grow into his true talent, you've gotta like our track record picking out overlooked kids and developing them into great players. i'm glad he's a buckeye.

Yep, if Northwestern is interested, you know his academics are in order. His family seems grounded and involved in his life, and that is a good thing. This school seems to be loaded with blue chip prospects, maybe a new pipeline could be established for OSU.

are those the new sat numbers? ie divide by 1.5 to get the old score? if so not actually impressive (1340=893)

interesting to watch how all this sutff seems to work out.

One of his receivers at Eisenhower High in Houston, Greg Timmons, is going to Texas. His other receiver, Jaz Reynolds, is going to Oklahoma.

One of his receivers at Ohio State, Ted Ginn, got drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the first round. His other receiver, Anthony Gonzalez, was drafted in the first round.

I'm not comparing him to #10 like some of you, but the QB needs some credit if his top 2 receivers are going to Texas and Oklahoma.
