Herbstreit just said a defensive player was spying the QB and was in position to make the play but the FSU QB's speed was too much.

The defensive player was not spying- he clearly rushed the QB on the edge.

The defensive player was not in position to make the play- he got too far up field and the QB stepped up underneath him as the OL took him out of the play--- meaning speed had nothing to do with anything.

I found it remarkable that basically every word out of his mouth on that particular call was wrong.

Ken Doll has become a fucking caricature of an analyst. He offers no insight whatsoever during games and he just spews the same repetitive catch phrases over and over.

Do a quick Twitter search of his name during one of his broadcasts and it's hilarious to see how everyone just mocks him anymore. Used to be one of the best analysts/announcers in the game but I wouldn't even put him Top 10 now. He's approaching Beth Mowins territory for christ sake.
